Lawson Security architecture is a rule-based security system. Central to the security model is the principle that, no matter how complex, a security policy can be stated as a list of Rules that can be executed to make decisions. Rules are written for organizational Roles, thereby, governing the security privileges of the Roles. When end-users are assigned to a Role(s), they inherit the Role’s security privileges, significantly reducing security administration.
Lawson Security is the central location for setting up and administering security for all Lawson Portal-based products. One central location reduces administration and overhead for security configuration and maintenance. Lawson Security also dictates additive authorization. This means that no securable object will have access by default unless granted access by a Role.
