Advanced Production Planner

M3 Advanced Production Planner synchronizes resource utilization and material flow in your factory.

M3 Advanced Production Planner (APP) is a powerful decision support tool for production planning and the scheduling of manufacturing orders. It takes into consideration finite capacity constraints and material flow from raw materials to finished products.

Manufacturers today are facing an increasing demand for product variety, shorter delivery times and smaller lot sizes. To meet these demands manufacturers must set up tight, yet flexible, production schedules to effectively utilize their expensive production equipment.

When used together, M3 Material Requirements Planner (MRP) and M3 APP provide you with one integrated system for production planning and scheduling that delivers crucial visibility and coherence.

M3 APP has an advanced memory-resident simulation engine with synchronization and sequence optimization algorithms that minimize setup and changeover times by calculating the best possible and most feasible plan.

Interactive decision-support functionality enables you to quickly drill down and locate key details, make decisions and run "what if" scenarios. This functionality includes easy-to-use graphic displays, including the Scoreboard, load and inventory profiles, the interactive planning board, order network mapping and bottleneck resources.

M3 APP works together with the central database from which data is transferred. The production plan and priority decisions are input to M3 MRP and M3 Production Activity Control (PAC).

Using an approach based on Goldrattīs Theory of Constraints , APP assists you in making the right decisions in a timely manner.

M3 APP increases your resource utilization and dramatically reduces inventory, work in process and lead times. It contributes to high delivery performance and thereby helps to improve your and your customers’ bottom line.
