Purchase Costing - A Series of Cases
This one-day course builds upon the 'Purchase Costing Introduction' course and enables you to understand the costing methods and the costing model in Lawson M3 and how to use them effectively. You will have hands-on experience by working through a series of cases.
What Does This Course Cover?
This course aims to give you a detailed understanding of the costing methods and models available in Lawson M3.
The course covers:
· How and when to use the different costing methods in Lawson M3, that is, standard, average and actual.
· How and when to use the different parts of the purchase cost model in Lawson M3.
· How costing methods and cost models affect cost accounting and the financials
· The practical use of purchase costing, costing methods, and how they should be used and positioned on projects.

This course is recommended for personnel who want to know how and when to use the standard, average and actual costing methods, and to learn more about the integration between enterprise management, supply chain management and financial management.
To fully benefit from this course, we recommend that you have:
· A basic understanding of purchase costing and cost accounting
· Familiarity with the item and product structure files
· Successfully completed the Purchase Costing Introduction course
· An understanding of the purchasing flows.
