DMP Introduction (e)
This two-day course will provide a basic understanding and an introduction to Demand Planner (DMP), a powerful tool for accurately managing and manipulating demand. It enables you to decide how you can best use your resources to reduce capital tied up in inventories and maximize customer service levels, sales revenue and profitability.
What Does This Course Cover?
This course aims to explain what is possible with DMP, how its basic functions work and where DMP fits into the total Lawson M3 supply chain solution.
This course will help you:
· Understand when to use DMP
· Know basic navigation and functions in DMP
· Understand the planning processes and workflow
· Perform a short demonstration of DMP.
Please note that this course just gives an introduction to these subjects. In order to master the tool you need the implementation course together with real life experience.
Who Should Attend?
This course is recommended for end users who work with sales forecasting or sales budgeting
To benefit from this course we recommend that you have a basic understanding of:
· Lawson M3 and how to navigate in it
· Business Process Design Tool (BPDT) and how to navigate in it.
You should also have the prerequisite knowledge covered in the following course:
· Supply Chain Management Overview
· Forecasting Introduction.
To gain the full benefits of the course, participants should use their own PC during the course. The PC must be equipped with Windows 2000 (Professional) or Windows XP, Microsoft Access 2000/XP (Microsoft Access is not required, but useful to have), and DMP (both client and server) including valid DMP license file.
