Are we a midmarket vendor?

We’re often referred to as an enterprise software vendor that serves midmarket companies. For many pundits, we’re a “midmarket vendor”. Is it true?

The way we see it, we’ll serve any company that values the characteristics of our solution. We also see multiple segments in the market. Very large companies often want an enterprise solution that’s built to their specifications. Midsized companies are apt to want a solution that’s tailored to their industry. Small companies are more willing to accept a generic solution with no industry content. Low price is their primary motivator.

We also see three primary characteristics of our solutions. First, they’re industry focused. We’re experts in the industries we serve and we build software that delivers best practices and reliable value for those segments. In our target markets, we can go toe-to-toe with any vendor – bar none.

Second, we focus on reducing the cost of owning and maintaining our software. Various studies suggest that our software is less expensive to implement, use, and upgrade than comparable software from the BigCo vendors. We’ve recently been busy documenting not only the cost but also the value delivered.

Third, we strive to deliver simplicity in at least six ways: 1) the technology that underlies our applications; 2) the applications themselves; 3) the ability to integrate other applications; 4) the user interface; 5) implementation, service, and support methods; 6) our business practices. Our goal is to drive complexity out of our business altogether.

As it happens, the three major attributes of our solutions appeal to many midsized companies. Therefore, many of our customers are midsized companies. But there are also many large companies that value the same attributes. We’re proud to say that some of the largest companies in the world are our customers. (Give us a call and we’ll tell you about them).

If you value simplicity, want an industry-focused solution, and are concerned about cost of ownership, we should talk – no matter how big your company is.
